Dear BPCWAians, As we approach the end of the book of Ephesians in our Sunday worship series, we have been looking at the armour of God in Ephesians 6. As we study each piece of the armour, I wonder if you may be sitting in the pew wondering “What’s the big deal of this, why do we have to look at it in such detail? Can’t we move on to something more practical for my life now?” I hope that each of us will realise that the full armour of God is not a pretty picture to study about in the Bible and that is all. As I left the hospital last week, I was expecting and even planning to visit Uncle Bernie again. So, when I received the news

However, following that Easter Sunday, we also had the news of a worshipper’s homegoing to be with our Lord on Friday. As I looked at the body of Siew Beng on the hospital bed after her demise, it made me reflect not just about her future resurrection, but also about how one day our bodies will also lie lifeless on earth when God calls our spirit home to Him. A time to reflect. What will we have done in this body of ours while we still had life on earth? The Easter reminder that we too will
