The Power and Glory of God

Dear BPCWA worshipper, There was a major 8.8 magnitude earthquake about a month ago in a region in Russia dubbed the “land of fire and ice”, one of the most active volcanic regions on earth. Man can invent many modern advanced technologies for the protection of mankind, but nothing can withstand the Hand of God. Insurance companies offer coverage for many unforeseen events, but we are probably familiar with a clause known as “Acts of God” which may be an exclusion for liability due to it being caused by a greater force. An earthquake and tsunami warnings. The recent Russian earthquake (also known as Kamchatka earthquake) was one of the largest earthquakes recorded worldwide since 2011. It was the sixth

Family Camp Thematic Messages 7 & 8

Dear BPCWA worshipper, We conclude the series of pastorals on the camp thematic messages.  As we read the last 2 summaries, let us determine in our hearts to thirst after Him. I hope that, though these pastorals are somewhat longer than our usual ones, you will read and re-read them, meditating on what God reminds us about thirsting for Him. Better still, watch or re-watch the messages, which are available on both our church website and our YouTube channel. As I recount the last message at the camp, I am also reminded of how we lost electricity when there was a sudden outage in Busselton that was estimated to last for many hours. We prayed, and God demonstrated His power

Dear BPCWA worshipper, A thirst for God is expected for every Christian. We must honestly evaluate if we have this thirst. Only if we recognise our need for a greater thirst for God will we take the next step to do what is necessary to cultivate this thirst. It is a personal thirst for God Himself, and it is passionate and perpetual. The underlying reason for our thirst must not be driven by the

Family Camp Thematic Messages 1 & 2

Dear BPCWA worshipper, I preached the thematic messages on our church theme, “A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is” (Ps 63:1). We live in an age where coldness toward God is prevalent, and it is abnormal for Christians to go to church 2 or 3 times a week. There is a low state of spiritual desire, and the sentiments David expressed in Psalm 63 are considered unnecessary or abnormal by many Christians. Hence, every Christian needs to ensure that we are thirsting after God,
